Delta Spirit - looks exactly like every other cold rock band on a pier
A little bit over a year ago I flew down from San Francisco to San Diego to visit a good friend of mine. We drove around in his American car with plastic details, listening to Jay-Z and The Knife (or ‘kniven’ as he likes to say). It was a nice time. Delta Spirit is also from San Diego . They play a beautiful combination of Americana/Northern Soul/Beach Boys/ sounding rock music. On Monday they stop by Amsterdam and Paradiso’s small stage. Tickets are 6 Euros and many things point to the fact that this might be one of the nicest experiences that 6 Euros can buy. Excluding a Whopper Meal at Burger King. Children is my favourite song of their album Ode To Sunshine from last year, you should immediately go here and download it:

Or you can go here to watch them play the song during last years SXSW-festival (indie music’s equivalent of Queens Day).
