We wanted to be the sky

It must just be the colors, and the kids, that keep me alive Cat Power sings in this beautiful song called Colors And The Kids from her 1998 album Moon Pix. It's just her and a piano, and Cat Power is one of those artists who sounds like her soul is aching when she is singing. I've seen her live two times, one time she was terrible and the other time she kicked me out for yelling too much. I still love her. It's so hard to go in the city, cause you want to say hello to everybody. It's so hard to go into the city, cause you wanna say hey I love you to everybody. When we were teenagers, we wanted to be the sky, she continues. Today at Queens Day we wanted to be the sky too.
